Inspired by the former 19th century builders and owners of the home, great care was taken to restore the house and continue to tell their stories. The home is grounded in its federal/classical revival architecture, yet adorned with modern amenities. Our approach of "old meets new" provides a unique opportunity for the traveler who appreciates a boutique lodging experience in a historic community.

As 2025 comes to a close, we take stock of this past year. We celebrated our third year in business, and the vast number of repeat guests we hosted at The Willis-James was a humbling compliment that warmed our soul. We also met many new, wonderful people who allowed us to provide them a unique lodging experience, and introduce them to the rich history and beauty of the Ross County Ohio area. We want thank each and every guest who stayed with us this past year and very much look forward to seeing you again, as well as meet new visitors in 2026!
