Wow! This place is awesome! We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous home! This was my first stay at a bed & breakfast and I have been spoiled for any other! Steph and Drew could not have been more welcoming. The Legacy Room was beautiful with a super comfy bed and fabulous bathroom. Hope to return soon!
My husband and I stayed here for a night after spending the day hiking in Hocking Hills. We absolutely loved the history & beauty of the home inside & out. Our room was very comfortable and beautiful. All the modern luxuries with the historic charm at the same time! Drew, Steph, and Dante were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. They made a delicious breakfast and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the home and the local area. We are already looking forward to another stay and the only thing we’d do differently in the future is stay two nights instead of one! Also, be sure to check out The History Store in town! Drew and Steph own it as well and we spent about 45 min in there browsing and shopping. I found some fascinating books. The young man working in there was very helpful and enthusiastic about his job. A must stop for history buffs. Can’t wait to go back! Not enough words to articulate how perfect our stay was. The property is immaculate. Stephanie and Drew were gracious hosts. Every breakfast was outstanding. Dante the Weimaraner made our stay even more special. We stayed five nights in the Legacy room and it was genuinely clean, comfortable and refreshing to be able to call that home for nearly a week. The rooms have been meticulously restored with modern luxury while maintaining the character and history of the original home Nathaniel Willis built in 1805. We loved the music streaming in the background. We were in Ohio under sad and stressful circumstances and our stay at The Willis James was a true blessing.Highly recommend you treat yourself to this gem. By the time we left, we considered Stephanie and Drew our friends and we were talking about when we could return for a real vacation.
